How to do simple searches. The video below demonstrates the basics.

There is a search field at the top. You can enter search terms into it. If you leave it blank and click Search you will find all the resources in the system. For example if you enter a year you will see all photos tagged with that year. But you might get unintended results.

If you are looking for a particular year choose a year from the “By date” popup. All images are tagged with a date.

You can select the type of resource you want to find.

• Photo – there are lots of photos.
• Document – there are no documents as yet. In the future we may have troop programs, summer camp programs, and any other scanned document or pdf.
• Video – there are no videos as yet. There will be.
• Audio – there are no audio files as yet. There will be.

At this point there is no use for the Geographic search. Mobile phones and many modern digital cameras will tag photos with geographic data. When those images are added then this may be useful.
